Origins

 

Tyler Brock, a Baton Rouge, Louisiana native, started this movement after being kicked out of his pre-nursing program. His dream was never to be a nurse but he pursued it because he though it’ll make his parents proud.

From the pressures of social media to the elements that are televised; the amount of influence on a person can suffocate the potential of them creating their own path to purpose. Often times we can develop habits we learned from others to the extent we become unconsciously controlled by the things we see and hear. Rooted 'N Reality stresses the message: "rather than being a victim to cultural influence, be THE pioneer of your future.

“I WROTE IT DOWN AND MADE IT HAPPEN.” What all started in an apartment is now being represented across the world.

“Being from the South, I’ve noticed how heavy culture plays a role in the lives that we live. Whether it’s: social media, peers, schools, etc. Our minds are built to become accustomed to what we learn from the environments that we either grow up in or choose to be apart of. So we become what we see and hear. Society tells us what to be; when to be it; how to do it - and we become programmed. WE never truly see the benefit of being rooted in reality because we are TAUGHT to fOllie guidelines set out for us by people who don’t even know our true passions and interests.”
